Almost every day we step into our club house, push open the massive entrance doors and wonder what will happen today. No two days are the same, and we embrace that. For the most part, these unforeseen encounters are at the core of our work: Encounters and relationships with people of all ages and walks of life.

What you might not see from the outside is how many hours we invest in relationships with all of the people around us, even if it's not within a defined offer or project. Big and small stories and encounters that happen between people, and can't be neatly summarised into an end-of-year review. Prayers and contacts that happen because of our faith in God and people, and because we try our best to live out our faith in charity. That's what thrills us about our work.

It inspires me every day to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ among people I meet. I love my job - to me, it's a calling, and not just a profession. I can fully identify with the mission statement of Cevi Zürich. God is good, and He's faithful!

In the middle of the hectic center of Zurich, we want to create an oasis where people can be accepted for who they are.
In Armenia, where we've had a partner YMCA for the past 15 years, they say that every guest is a gift from God. This is my conviction as well, and I always find it fascinating to see what people God sends to our house.

We don't just want to create a fun space for children to play and have a good time - we want to invest in parents as well. We want our actions to show people the love of God. I couldn't do my job without His love and wisdom.

I've known the YMCA for a long time, and I'm glad to support their meaningful work today.

Paraphrasing a sentence by Socrates, with which I can identify: "Always remember that everything will pass. Therefore, do not be too joyful in joy, and not too sad in suffering."

I've known the YMCA ever since I was a girl in Scouting, and I have many fond memories of that time. I love getting to see a different side of the YMCA's diverse work in Cevi Zürich, and being able to support them with my time.
